Additional / Other gateways for WPPizza:

I realize that not everybody wants to or can use any of the already available gateways with their implementation of WPPizza.

Generally speaking, and in due course, I will add more gateways (somewhat in order of general popularity and how established they are) when I find the time.

However, there are quite a few other options that I would like to integrate first into the main plugin or program some additional extensions that might be useful to more people before starting to add more gateways so as of now I cannot give any ETA as to when any particular gateway implementation will be available.

Having said that, if someone is desperate for another gateway not yet available and wants to jump the queue of development so to speak in getting this programmed earlier than anything else, I am prepared and happy to do this under the following conditions.

a) the price of development is a one-off payment of GBP 100 . As this would actually not cover the cost of development, I consider this a fee to “jump the queue” so to speak

b) an API (in english) must be available to develop this gateway (obviously). So I would need a link and/or documentation to the relevant API.

c) the gateway in question must allow the registration of a test account to be able to test things during development

d) a programmed gateway will be made available for testing on a dedicated site so one can discuss possible options the API might offer and test things.
Once development and testing has been completed, the files (including the relevant license code) will be made available for download at a to be determined link at a payment of aforementioned GBP100 so you can use it in your own site.
(in fact, as a bonus so to speak, it will include/be an unlimited sites license for you to use on as many sites as you wish)

e) Furthermore, I must be able to sell this as a premium extension/gateway to possible other/future interested parties.
As mentioned above, 100GBP would really in itself not cover the development costs as every gateway is different and one would have to spend a lot of time to first of all read through the API, understand how this particular gateway does things, program and test it.
However, being able to re-sell this particular gateway might – depending on the popularity of it – at least partially recoup some of the costs over time.
If you want to have exclusive rights to be able to use this newly programmed gateway and do not want to allow me to re-sell it, I am just not interested. Sorry.

f) for avoidance of doubt, this gateway will ONLY work with the WordPress WPPizza plugin

g) I would expect the development including testing to take about a week from start to finish based on an agreed start date.
For example I might be in the middle of doing some other things which I would have to finish first before being able to start programming that additional gateway

h) please do not ask for a discount. 100GBP is already very low considering the costs/time involved

i) finally, I reserve the right not to take this job on in case any issue might be encountered – as yet unforeseen – that might make it exceptionally difficult / impossible to do (although this is unlikely) or my other work/time commitments do not allow me to do this in a reasonable timeframe (although timeframes can and should be discussed beforehand anyway so everybody knows what to expect)

 

Of course, if the above is not suitable or acceptable for your situation no-one is stopping you to program a gateway yourself or find someone else to do it for you. I have no problem with that.

 

Update: The above service is not on offer anymore, sorry.

 

However, there is a skeleton-gateway in the add-ons directory of the plugin as a starting point if you want to develop your own (for gateways that use redirection to their own hosted payment pages. others to follow in due course)

So if you wish to develop your own based on the skeleton above, make sure to test things thoroughly.
