Hi Olly
A litlle feature request.
Is it possible for you to add a SKU textfield for a product?Placing it below the price field for example.
You see, usually our customers order by using a SKU number of the product. The reason why we can’t put it inside the description for example, is that the SKU needs to be on the email receipt as well, and be searchable, and something we can css style just like the price tag 🙂
27 September, 2015 at 12:16 am #12701not sure what’s wrong with putting it into the title …..!?
it’s searchable , and appears in emails etc
edit: actually let me check that (especially if using html tags , span or something, in the title )…27 September, 2015 at 11:43 am #12702It’s true we could put it into the title.
But then we can’t put a specific css style on it since it’s not in it’s own html tag. My customer is unfortunately not a html expert so a field where she can enter the SKU would be the optimal solution.
28 September, 2015 at 1:24 am #12710ok, understand your issue.
thing is, SKU’s (as well as stock management as it happens) are kind of out of the scope of this plugin…at least for now anyway.
that is not to say that it won’t be part of it one day . however, as long as you are – quite literally – the only one that requests this , i don’t think it will be too high on the list of things to do.
i’ll put it in the “requests box” so to speak, but cannot tell you when or indeed if…
28 September, 2015 at 9:48 am #12712Alright. Thanks Olly.
I understand that you get a lot of requests.3 November, 2015 at 8:16 pm #13712I’m imtrested in it, too 😉
19 November, 2015 at 6:28 pm #14082as of v2.16: SKU’s added (to enable under wppizza->settings)
19 November, 2015 at 10:38 pm #14087Thanks Olly. You’re a star! 🙂
I’ve already implemented on the site and added some custom styling to the element.
2 February, 2016 at 12:00 am #15503Hi Olly
I just saw that when doing an order, the SKU does not appear in the Email template or Print order template.
So when a customer or admin get’s a copy of it, he does not know which SKU the item has.
The following are printed already:
– quantity
– name
– size
– single item price
– subtotal item
– additional info– sku missing
Can you do an update of the pizza plugin where you include SKU? 🙂
All the best
Jon2 February, 2016 at 12:37 am #15504sounds more like you did not enable it .
