i am not getting any error and i added about 50 items to the cart without any issues and on different browsers.
can’t see any problem…?!29 April, 2015 at 1:05 pm #9524Please click more me and my Devloper we get error without fail on all device
29 April, 2015 at 1:12 pm #9525i have clicked a couple of hundred times now without ever getting any error (not once).
seems to me there’s something else going on (maybe in your network/firewall/elsewhere..i have no idea)29 April, 2015 at 1:13 pm #9526you do however seem to have to removed version numbers from some of your scripts.
that’s just not a good idea29 April, 2015 at 1:16 pm #9528and you are loading jquery 2x for unknown reasons
29 April, 2015 at 7:45 pm #9537This is the same error I get on my website Olly but I thought we agreed it was maybe the host? However I see someone else getting this error maybe there is a conflict somewhere.
29 April, 2015 at 7:57 pm #9538>This is the same error I get on my website Olly
no you don’t, (even more so given that there is absolutely no error when i use the site this topic is referring to)
29 April, 2015 at 8:08 pm #9539Is it possible I get a link to the website in question? I know how to induce the errors on my website I want to see if I can do the same on the website created by the OP.
29 April, 2015 at 8:38 pm #9540>Is it possible I get a link to the website in question?
no, because
a) the OP set it to private for reasons known to him so it stays private
b) you wouldn’t like it either if i made your private replies public or pass them on
c) it’s a frontend issue that is – probably/possibly – cause by what i already said above whereas yours was a backend issue and has nothing whatsoever to do with this
29 April, 2015 at 8:45 pm #9541Obviously if the OP gave permission otherwise no.
And what do you mean by mine is a backend issue and his a frontend issue? (By backend do you mean mine was within the wordpress settings screen and his was just on the normal website browsing?)
29 April, 2015 at 9:07 pm #9542because if i recall you had issue the order history (i.e backend/admin) throwing errors
in any event, if you still have issues *please* start or resume your own topic rather than hijacking this one .
chances are it will be entirely different anyway and only confuse the issue carrying on here29 April, 2015 at 9:21 pm #9543This is a minor issue not a big problem website gives error when spending little time on browsing system works fine apart from error appearing every few min or second. my hosting company confirmed no issues on their firewall or server also my developer checked no issues with code no errors found some reason this error comes sometimes. again thanks to Olly for developing this system great help.
29 April, 2015 at 9:32 pm #9544I had errors both on frontend and backend – I still believe it is host related (server didn’t relay information perfectly) but every time a order poll trips it gives no sound/warning so is troublesome. I can prove I’ve had it on frontend also just like the OP has so was trying to help him nothing for myself. iazomuk I would be interested if you get this error on order history screen also when polling for orders but if you can’t do this then no problem. I am in the process on moving to a good host and if this still occurs I will just have to pay a software developer to create a polling program that ignores non polls. I am wanting to make a few websites for my friends who own takeaways but I can’t when this slight problem remains.
29 April, 2015 at 9:43 pm #9545@iazomuk
you have not done anything about the issues i mentioned, so your problem will not go away (if indeed it is caused by that, which – at a minimum – i would suggest to eliminate the possibility of by following the advise i gave)
@maherali
i appreciate you trying to help.
however, it has nothing at all to do with each other. believe me.
(and you are really confusing the issue here when you are referring to polling etc)29 April, 2015 at 10:28 pm #9559one more suggestion though (just in case).
turn on debug
https://www.wp-pizza.com/topic/how-to-enable-debug-in-wordpress/
and see if you get anything in the debug.log when it happens your end (as i really can not get any error here)29 April, 2015 at 10:38 pm #9560i do however have an idea which i could put in an update which will stop at least a popup and just displays error in the console.
to be honest, that’s probably a better way of doing things anyway, so you can blame me regardless (even though the issues referred to above regarding version numbers and loading jQuery 2x should not be neglected)
29 April, 2015 at 10:42 pm #9561to explain, javascript popups/alerts – although of course indicating errors – will stop any execution of subsequent scripts or indeed navigation, whereas if it were to just be displayed in the console, it will fail the particular error, but not stop everything else.
so if something fails, it will just carry on and/or retry the next time it comes around
i could probably explain this better, but i think we are all better off if i just do this as opposed to try to explain this – (badly i think).sure , it’s better if whatever causes the error gets fixed, but one could be more lenient in handling this as i suspect some errors would not necessarily be fatal so to speak and would “sort themselves” out so to speak
i shut up now. (if the above does not make sense to you, don’t worry it’s more for my own sanity/reference)
