Google cloud print on the back end of the website isn’t working so on the backend of the plug-in where the tab is to change the size of the font that goes to the printer works on the backend of the website but when he goes to the printer to actually print it’s not transferring.
my tech guy says the cold were using works if you use it on windows as far as if you printed the code from a notepad file it would work but some reason it’s not transferring in to the Google cloud print interface.so to be very clear and specific on the back and when I click on the eye icon The preview of what should print out on the printer is perfect but when it actually goes to the printer which is a Epson TMT Printer that was in a different thread that they said worked.
Here is what my installer said:
So I did some testing. the problem seems to lie with the google cloud print. When printing from windows it works fine. However when printing the same file from google cloud print it changes the font. From the attached file you can see the LEFT print out is from windows and the right print out is from google cloud print. that’s a problem since google cloud print is the intermediary software to printing, however it doesn’t retain the same printing format. I do not have a resolution for this as google s anyone including tech-support and the developers of the plug-in.So does anyone including developets have a fix?
14 February, 2017 at 8:31 pm #25497i can only guess without seeing any of your setup, but did you actually set the template in the cloudprint plugin you want/expect to print ?
the plugin sends your set template to cloudprint. that’s it. what happens after i have no control overfurthermore, i have also no idea what you mean by :
“the cold were using works if you use it on windows as far as if you printed the code from a notepad file”.
or
“when it actually goes to the printer which is a Epson TMT Printer that was in a different thread that they said worked.”I did not ever say anything about any printer working or not (I do not even have a printer so would never make assumptions on any printer specifics – maybe your printer does not support the fonts you have set. I do not know. I know nothing about your printer)

so to clarify
“the cold were using works if you use it on windows as far as if you printed the code from a notepad file”.“the code were using works if you use it on windows as far as if you printed the code from a notepad file”.
So in the backend of the interface we edited the HTML code, and the printout to the printer should be printing out with fonts that are much bigger in size
here is a screenshot of what it should be printing out. After we click on the “Eye” icon on the template tab in the backend of the word press site, under wp-pizzahttps://www.screencast.com/t/9XwbX1acXg
but instead it’s printing out with this instead

No matter what we do it doesn’t let the changes that we do on the backend of the website as far and font size changesgo to the printer to print out properly, Google cloud print is stripping away the changes before they get to the printer.
You guys developed the plug-in for Google cloud print, I need some help and a fix to figure out how to get the font sizes bigger. We even duplicated the code where the font sizes are bigger for the rest of the printout, and still, it didn’t work.
Please Help

“….but did you actually set the template in the cloudprint plugin you want/expect to print ?…”you didn’t . it’s still using the default…
you can do whatever you like in the templates. if your cloudprint settings are not set to use that template, nothing will ever change
15 February, 2017 at 9:17 pm #25536Got your email, and I understand, but we change the code on the default template. Anyways I created a new template, and used the changed code on the default template, which shows huge lettering when you click on the eye icon.
I am now going to send in order to the owner and asked her to send me back a screenshot of the new order.

15 February, 2017 at 9:21 pm #25538Can you please go to the backend again and confirm I’m using the right type template situation
and of the template I am using by clicking on the eye icon yourself you can confirm that the text is huge15 February, 2017 at 9:21 pm #25539>Got your email, and I understand, but we change the code on the default template.
I cannot comment on any modifications you may make to core files
furthermore, the “eye” icon does not even appear anywhere there so i have no idea what you were doing anyway15 February, 2017 at 9:24 pm #25540>Can you please go to the backend again and confirm
what do you want me to confirm ?
in your cloudprint settings (wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wppizza&page=wppizza_google_cloudprint) it says“template id” = [some template] select one of the print templates you would like to use
just choose the one you want to use……
15 February, 2017 at 9:24 pm #25541What do you mean, the Eye Icon is in the Templates section
https://www.screencast.com/t/e7fkzSu3FW15 February, 2017 at 9:26 pm #25542precisely
look at your screenshot
there is no “eye” icon for the default template15 February, 2017 at 9:27 pm #25543PS the actual default is the one at the top. the ones below are named as you wish / did
15 February, 2017 at 9:28 pm #25544>Can you please go to the backend again and confirm
what do you want me to confirm ?
in your cloudprint settings it says“template id” = [some template] select one of the print templates you would like to use
just choose the one you want to use……I see what you mean now, you really need to update your documentation, nothing in the documentation for this told me to go to the WPPizza – Google Cloudprint : Settings “page” dropdown menu for Template ID
Please update your documentation when you sell this plug-in to make this much more clear
15 February, 2017 at 9:29 pm #25545ok, so there’s a discrepancy between naming it “standard” in the cloudprint plugin and “default template” in the template section.
still though, it should be reasonably obvious i would have thought
