HI Olly,
I have had a request from a prospective coffee shop where they would like to know if we display the order history with name on a page, is it possible to have a an option like 'x' beside an individual order to change it to processed and then remove it from the list with a refresh on tap or time set. This would mean they could have a tablet mounted next to the coffee machine and the barista could tap the orders off as they finish it. I would see this option as chargeable as it gets the order to the counter simply.
by the way great plugin.

just select/set the status from the dropdown list next to the order and set the status (next to “maximum results”) to be displayed on the top to just “new” for example….

I reviewed the option for displaying order history in the dashboard and it is great that we can change order status there, but in real life situation the person that is serving the meal would just like to tick the item off a list instead of a drop down list and also the management of the shop probably does not need the dashboard exposed to every day employees. Is there any way that the shortcode of orderhistory to display orders in a web page be made interactive. So that the server just has to touch either the customer name or the item served to change the status to served(processed). Once touched the item is deemed to be served, the list is refreshed and only items to be served are displayed. This would overcome the need to print the order out and have the counter in charge of the queueing.
I will float the idea of the dashboard solution past the client.
kind regards,

are we essentially (correct me if i’m wrong) talking about a – let’s call it employee dashboard – that is a scaled down version of the order history ?so – for arguments sake – the same thing but only displaying customer and order details and one big button saying “processed” or something (without displaying order id etc etc ..?
if so , let me have a bit of a think (am somewhat in the middle of a few other things)…
shouldn’t be too taxing to do as it happens as the functionality is already there of course

thanks
