Hi Olly,
A customer who uses wppizza on his website contacted me about the website taking too much space. I checked WP install folder and it was ok, not growing in size. When digging further, we discovered hundreds of wppizza session files, each around 151kb in the /tmp folder. Overall 700MB, over 300 files per day.
content of a single file is something like:
wppizza|a:2:{s:5:”items”;a:0:{}s:17:”total_price_items”;i:0;}wppizza_userdata|a:2:{s:24:”wppizza_gateway_selected”;s:3:”COD”;s:9:”wpml_lang”;s:2:”sk”;}Filenames like sess_6g2kjqdq3mvqijfikar4cpfi8l
Why is this happening? Can I turn it off?
BTW we are not using any order functionality, only the recipe display, so not sure why it’s logging sessions for cart/orders, and even if it does – why doesn’t it clean up after itself eventually?

thanks

so if the sessions do not get cleaned up there’s something amiss with the session settings at host level
you need to contact your host I’m afraid.this is nothing I have control over.
neither does the plugin mess around with the session setup
(though perhaps some other plugin does, but I would not know anything about that of course)25 February, 2020 at 8:55 am #46696Hi Olly,
ok, I see – will check with the server admin.
thanks!
