I feel like upon clicking “add to cart,” a pop up with special instructions (per items) which will add a string to the item (in wpPizza) or ingredients (in the addon) would be hugely beneficial. Individual shop owners could use this to allow customers to input a name denoting who each sandwich is for, or to allow customer to add custom instructions such as the following layout:
-WP_Pizza Item: Steak (includes choice of 1 side)
-Ingredients (actually used for choice of sides): mashed potatoes, baked potato, side salad, fries
Custom Instruction input field:

1x Blackberry14 April, 2014 at 9:45 am #3907just add the textbox option to the ingredients thing , no ?

And would you be able to turn it off in the ingredients plug-in if you didn’t want it? Where would you put the options for it?
I’m thinking more along the lines of adding an option for the ‘Item Added’ notification to appear in a small 1-button pop-up (instead of a temporary visual over the price) with a 1-line text box – something along the line of “Who is this for? (optional)”.
This way, it wouldn’t alter the way things work for anyone unless they chose to implement it.
