Hi I am very impressed with the functionality of this plugin – it has all that I can ever imagine needing and I am hoping it will be the basis of the takeaway restaurant sit e that I am developing for a client. However I am having some problems and would very much appreciate some input… FYI I am using Chrome on Windows 10 to develop the site…

      1) I was pleased to see that there was an option for having quantities in the order page. However I have found that when I change the quantity and press update order, it reverts to the original quantity which renders this function useless 🙁

      2) I have placed the cart shortcode in a sidebar widget and am appreciating the option that enables the cart to stay visible as the page is scrolled. Unfortunately the text ‘free delivery for orders over…’ does not stick beneath the cart as the page is scrolled and instead drifts underneath it…

Look forward to sorting these issues out so I can get this site live!
      Thanks

http://www.interxmedia.co.uk/shahnaz/ – be aware this is a work in progress 🙂

I am also experiencing another more worrying problem – If I select items from the menu and then go to the order page and then change quantities or return to menu pages and add more items, the order page just keeps defaulting to the original items and quantities ordered. This has happened in both Firefox and Chrome on windows 10 and OSX so I don’t think it is at my end… 🙁 Any ideas?

          Thanks
          Andy

looks very much like you are caching the order page

i have never been to your site before, never added anything to the cart and already get items added on your orderpage instead of a “cart is empty”….

Thank-you Olly – disabling the cache for the order page seems to have fixed the problems with not updating order (I use comet cache and added ‘orders/’ to URI Exclusions).
I should have read the installation notes – sorry to waste your time 🙁

I see the problems with ‘sticky’ basket are also mentioned elsewhere (I also found that it doesn’t always end up where you expect it on small screen sizes on the Customizr theme) and your advice is to switch it off. Unfortunate because it is really useful to have a visible basket while ordering – otherwise you have no way of instantly knowing how many you have ordered… it might be better to add a quantity field to the menu items…?

yeah – I’ve now removed the sticky cart and combined it with the minicart displayed at top of the page just below menubar… that seems to do the trick 🙂
