Hello Olly,
I want to create coupons which can be used by logged in users AND guests.
1. I click the “add coupon” button in the Coupon Codes Area
2. under “available for” i click: Once per customer only
and “On current site only” (I am in a multisite installation) – nothing else! When i save the changes it says under USERS “logged in users only”. When I then hit “edit”: “logged in customers only” is ticked. Even if i “untick” it and save it: “logged in users only” again.
So is it a bug, or am i missing something? How can i generate coupuns that can be used by guests and lokked in users?
Thanks so much for your help!
Thomas17 October, 2016 at 12:50 pm #22626I just realized I can’t use “Once per customer only” for guests … is there any way to realize that?
17 October, 2016 at 12:52 pm #22627Ah … is this the “Max uses” in the general field? SO if i say “May Uses”: 1 and “for anybody” … then logged in useres AND guests can use the coupon code and every code can be just used once. (it is for random generates codes to be send to customers).
and when the code was used pnce after that it is invalid … right? maybe this is what i wanted 🙂

no, as the system (WP users) has no idea who the guest is.only if a user is logged in can we know anything about how many times that user has ordered anything
that said, why would you only offer something to guests and not to logged in users?
17 October, 2016 at 1:09 pm #22629looks like we posted at the same time, so yes , if you only want to have a code used once, regardless of who it is, then the MAX uses would do that

I think I found what i need but you asked: Not just Guests: I wanted it for both: Logged in AND guests 🙂But i Think with the way describes above it will work fine!
