SMTP not working

      I’ve gone ahead and set up the SMTP settings and the test email sent succesfully.

      However, when I go to submit an order, I get the following errors still…

      Apologies. There was an error receiving your order. Please try again.

      phpmailer: Could not instantiate mail function.

      Why is the phpmailer still trying to run when I’ve chosen to use SMTP for sending emails?
      Is there something else that needs to be selected or unselected.

      Please advise.

        that is a server or setup error. you need to enable debug and check your error logs
        there are many many possible reasons for that error, none of which have anything to do with the plugin

        a simple https://www.google.co.uk/#q=phpmailer:+Could+not+instantiate+mail+function will give you hundreds of results and possible solutions. Which is the right one for your setup I cannot tell you

        phpmailer will ALWAYS run, you just use smtp for authentication. one doesn’t really have anything to do with the other

          That’s issue, I use smtp to send woocommerce mail, it’s ok, mymail plugin -> it’s ok.

          But WPpizza -> error mail function.

          Many hosting provider disable mail function in their share hosting plans, and it’s reason that we use smtp.

          Your SMTP NOT WORKING, and that’s issue.

          Your plugin “Delivery By Post/ZipCode” is so bad, too. I want “delivery charges per km” NOT “per item”, if charged for each item, the shipping cost is very high.

            a) please start your own topic
            b) do you just want to have a rant or do you actually want help ?
            c) maybe you should read the setup instructions. (YOU are the one that set it up to be charges per item)
            d) it’s called “Delivery by Post/Zipcode” (although there is actually an experimental distance part to it which might howevere not work in all countries)
            e) being rude will get you nowhere

            More importantly ,and just for the record here , you are also the one that used a stolen credit card to purchase things so you are clearly just a troll
