It appears the items selected are sorted alpha in the cart. Is it possible to just have them sort as they are entered?
Thanks,
Neil27 October, 2015 at 8:33 pm #13491at the moment, no
(they are also grouped , so if i add “pizza a” , then “desert b” and then “pizza a” again it will be 2x “pizza a” and 1x “dessert b” as opposed to 1x,1x,1x)28 October, 2015 at 2:25 pm #13518Is it a big deal to remove the grouping feature? Perhaps you can head me to the correct code location.
I have a Chinese Restaurant ready to go live and this is the main thing he is concerned about. Reason being as people order they build there meal and more than likely each meal would be together for his staff to prepare. “An example is having a Chop Suey and fried rice dish, one wants to add mushroom and one wants subgum.”
Thanks for your help.

yesin any event, it makes much more sense to group things anyway i would have thought.
if it says 2x rice , the kitchen will just do 2 portions of rice when they get to the rice listed in the cart and put those into the bag.if someone added 1x “chop suey”, 1x rice and 1x ice cream, and the second person then adds the same stuff, the kitchen has to go through the list 2 times for every single item , whereas they could just deal with all chop suyes , then all rice and then all ice cream etc etc.
more efficient and faster
if you want to add chop suey plus rice and chop suy plus mushrooms, then perhaps https://www.wp-pizza.com/downloads/wppizza-add-ingredients/ is a better way to offer that
(have a look at the “breakfast example” here – https://www.wp-pizza.com/twentytwelve/our-menu/user/ – imagining replacing bacon with rice, cheese with mushrooms etc etc )
just a suggestion though. it all depends.
suffice to say , the grouping will not change or be made optional as that required way more than just a simple edit - AuthorPosts
