Hi. I am currently operating two pizza ordering websites using a modified cart66 plugin. After a little testing It seems to me, that this plugin (along with the Add ingredients extension) would work even better. However, there is one important thing I miss: status update emails.
In my experience, one automatic email after ordering is not enough. Opposed to phone order, online ordering users do no know, whether their order was received and processed by the pizzeria. They ended up calling the pizzeria, whether they know about their order. An impatient and hungry customer can be a quick end to online ordering 🙂
After a few days we had to add another email to the system saying “your order has been processed and we are working on your pizza, you will get it soon”. This email is being sent after the pizzeria staff changes the order status from “new” to “processed”. I have seen something similar in your code snipper section, but that snippet sends the same email as the first one. The second should be a different one. It would be great to introduce such a feature into this plugin.I haven’t tried the “ringtone” code snippet yet, but that is also important for me 🙂
Another idea we use on our sites… an “estimeted delivery time” sign on the website that can be set and changed by the pizzeria staff.

just change what it sends then. it’s a codesnippet, adjust as needed

hmm, dunno.
what’s wrong with typing some text on the order page (or anywhere else for that matter) ?!i am sure there are also a bunch of other plugins that let you set some signage of some sort , somewhere without having to try to re-invent the wheel so to speak ?!
