Hello,
I have tried to set up Sendy using the Mailinglists Addon. But for some reason, the new subscriber doesn’t get added to Sendy.

thanks for the report.
It appears that sendy has changed their API somewhat and now requires an api key to be entered in the settings . I’ll update the WPPizza mailing list plugin to that effect in the next few days to make sure it behaves again. Thanks
6 August, 2024 at 4:14 pm #68273Hi Olly,
thanks for the quick response!
6 August, 2024 at 4:22 pm #68288Should now be fixed (v1.4)
might take a few hours for an update to be shown as being available though in your wp backend
(depends on your exact wordpress setup and configuration)
Once it’s updated , get your api key from your sendy installation and enter it in the plugin settings (wppizza-> order settings-> mailinglists -> Sendy : Sendy ApiKey)If you still have issues after that, let me know
Cheers

Is there anything I need to consider in the settings or naming in the plugin or Sendy?14 August, 2024 at 4:30 pm #68362This reply has been marked as private.14 August, 2024 at 4:37 pm #68363>Also, I noticed that the “location” and “Number” columns are not being transferred to Sendy via API.
there’s nothing like that provided by the api from what I can see
https://sendy.co/api#subscribe
so I do not really understand that comment to be honest14 August, 2024 at 4:42 pm #68364This reply has been marked as private.14 August, 2024 at 4:42 pm #68365This reply has been marked as private.14 August, 2024 at 4:43 pm #68366From Sendy API “Note: You can also pass values into custom fields or update them. To do so, use the personalization tag of the custom field as the parameter. Say, your custom field tag is [Birthday, fallback=], you can use the parameter, ‘Birthday’ to add values to this custom field or update it.”
In the settings of Mailinglist Plugin you can optionally select phone number column, address and name. “Name” is transferred to Sendy alright. But I created to custom Columns “address” and “Phone number” with the same name like in WPPizza and the values of these fields are not being transmitted.
14 August, 2024 at 5:20 pm #68367there’s a filter integrated you can use to alter/amend the past data as you require for your particular setup
$postdata = apply_filters('WPPIZZA_MLL_SENDY_parameters', $postdata, $customer_data, $order_details, $list_options );
14 August, 2024 at 5:25 pm #68368>Do you suggest clearing the debug log of old entried?
it’s entirely your call.
In my opinion:
you have error entries from 2018. Noone will ever need these or want to look at them
Maybe I can recommend this (but as mentioned , your decision)
https://www.wp-pizza.com/wp-utilities/ -> “Truncate WP Debug Log”
(but your debug is so big – 1.5 gb – you need to delete this one to start off with anyway if you want to use that plugin)13 September, 2024 at 8:46 pm #68655This reply has been marked as private.16 September, 2024 at 2:03 pm #68671This reply has been marked as private.17 September, 2024 at 2:11 pm #68676This reply has been marked as private.17 September, 2024 at 2:37 pm #68677This reply has been marked as private. - AuthorPosts
