WPPizza – A Restaurant Plugin for WordPress › Support › Add-Ons › Extensions › Preorder › Support › wrong time slots showing?

Hi Olly,
I just noted, that the time slots are wrong displayed. It is around 16:30pm, the WordPress settings says the same (around 5 minutes less), but the time slots showing start with 12:15pm instead of showing just the last time slot before closing with 16:45pm.

Any idea what is wrong?
Thanks

what do you mean by that ? is it working now ?
26 January, 2015 at 1:44 pm #7366sorry, meant, that I have switched to a different website, was working before on the site
new.elmexicano.net.au/joondalup/no, picker is not correctly working, it showed all day today’s date with time slots from 12.15pm onwards, even so it was already 6pm.
It has now switched to tomorrow.
Thanks
Regine26 January, 2015 at 2:07 pm #7372sounds like wrong timezone settings perhaps ? (general ->settings)
29 January, 2015 at 12:36 pm #7449Hi Olly
The image is showing the time zone I have set in Wordpess with 16:25, but the date and time picker still allowed to pick a time from 12:15 onwards on the same date (you may have to enlarge the image for better view).
Does it have to do with the server that is running wordpress? I noted, that my files are listed with 8 hours behind my time on the server when I view via FTP.
Thanks
Regine
29 January, 2015 at 8:46 pm #7457i would suggest you get your server working first…….
29 January, 2015 at 11:59 pm #7466Sorry, was working when I wrote the posts. Unplanned crash. It’s working again
30 January, 2015 at 12:42 am #7468try to set your timezones by city , rather than utc+something (which i have seen causing issues, depending on other plugins)
30 January, 2015 at 11:27 am #7476Hi Olly,
I just tried that and also some other time zones, but it seems, that nothing at all changes, no matter what time zone I am choosing.
Ie right now it is almost 7:30pm and the restaurant is closed, but it still allows me to order for today from 11.15 onwards. Please can you have another look.
Thanks
Regine
30 January, 2015 at 11:34 am #7477which site are we talking about ?

only up to a point…doesn’t matter though for the momenta couple of things:
a) i have turned the caching option off under wppizza->preorder : options , which seems to sort this out. I will have to look as to why the caching timing might be wrong
it’s using wordpress transients, so it might also have to do with server settings…don’t know yet.in any case, are you sure your server/php.ini is setup for the right timezone ?
from what you said elsewhere , i hazard a guess it hasnt been set and is just using utc+0/GMT
you might want to look into that …b) – might also cause the issue, but am not going to dig through that code:
the ThreeWP Activity Monitor plugin you are using:
Requires: 3.3 or higher
Compatible up to: 3.4.2
Last Updated: 2014-5-20
This plugin is obsolete!
……….30 January, 2015 at 12:28 pm #7486having a bit of a dig through the transients api, it might be the case that i have to change/add a couple of lines for a multisite setup …will up date the plugin in the next couple of daysit appears that the above is nonsense , and the way it’s used is actually correct (as it should not be set sitewide).
still though, will doublecheck what happens using your timezone settings30 January, 2015 at 12:48 pm #7487it *appears* that transient timeout is based on server settings and not wordpress timezone settings. I cannot be 100% sure yet, but as an educated guess, I wonder if your server/php.ini settings are set to the wrong timezone (as mentioned previously) and the transients (read cache) does therefore not expire when it should.
please check if your php.ini settings are correct and change them to the appropriate value.
if they need changing, do so , restart the server and enable caching again in the preorder plugin and check if this now works correctlythanks
PS: *might* also have been caused by that outdated plugin you are using btw. (don’t know though)
30 January, 2015 at 12:53 pm #7488Hi Olly,
Thanks, I will get my hosting company to check. I have no idea how to access this file.
I delete the plugin, it’s not really needed as you said.
It seems to work right now, but I think you mentioned you changed the caching settings.
Will let you know once I have got an update from my hosting company.
Thanks heaps for all your help.
Kind regards
Regine
1 February, 2015 at 10:41 pm #7513Hi Olly,
Just had my hosting company confirming that the timezone on the server and the php.ini file is set correct.
Maybe a Multisite issue?
Anyway, it is working now with the caching off.
Thanks
Kind regards
Regine

i know this is not the newest topic, but as you just sent me (elsewhere) the login details i had a quick look there regarding the timzone.
in short: your hosting company is lying (what else is new).
there is no timezone set which will explain all of the above13 February, 2015 at 12:43 pm #7834Hi Olly,
Please can you tell me where you seeing this in WordPress?
