Dear Olly,

I’ve previously reported the issue once here, but now it persists across multiple pages. As a temporary solution, I activated the popup on all pages, which resolved the problem. However, a permanent solution is needed.

I have installed WPPizza version 3.18.4 on the website. The ZIP code popup only appears when I click on the menu. Everything runs smoothly, the popup appears correctly, and the homepage functions without the ZIP code popup.

After updating WPPizza to version 3.18.5, the homepage opens with an empty ZIP code popup. The content of the popup is blank.

I have adjusted the ZIP code plugin settings as follows:

[x] Popup on every page regardless of whether or not it has any menu items, cart, or order page? (provided it is generally enabled above)

Now the ZIP code popup works across the entire homepage, not just on the menu. Upon request, I can provide you with a test login.

sure , and I responded by saying you need to fix the session_start issue you are having . From what I can see (assuming we are talking about the same site still and looking at your debug log there ) it is still an issue on that site
(naturally, I have double-checked this here with the settings you provided above and it works just fine)

Hello Olly,

The issue is occurring on several client websites, not just one. It started after the latest WP Pizza update; it wasn’t an issue before.

I will follow your suggestion and go through everything written in https://docs.wp-pizza.com/troubleshooting/?section=headers-already-sent. I will get back to you afterward.

quick update:
I can reproduce this here too with a clone of your site (that’s a good thing) Just need to find out where the issue is – but that will have to wait ’til tomorrow as it’s kind of late

Hi Umut

can I double check something with you quickly :
The problem isn’t actually that the popup is empty but that it is there at all . correct ?
i.e your setting say (paraphrasing) : “only open on pages with wppizza items”
as your homepahe does not have any wppizza items on there, this popup should simply not “launch” – so to speak. Right ?

(Am just trying to avoid going down the wrong rabbit hole …)

It should appear the same as these settings.

My activated setting: ZIP Popup should not appear for the homepage, only on WPPizza menu items.
It appears, however, because in the settings, “Popup on every page” is not enabled.

yup yup, understood.
should be relatively easy to fix (though was all a bit obscured as the ingredienst plugin – using the same popup script library – was masking things somewhat )

I share the same opinion.
After your response, I temporarily deactivated the Ingredienst plugin and observed that the popup is working as I intended. I guess I should wait for you to resolve this issue with an update!

the funny thing is, it doesnt actually work as intended at all in this case. it’s only becuase it throws severe errors, that it *seems* to be working as due to this error , the popup does not show …..(hence it took a bit of time to figure out what’s going on)

in any event, I believe 5.2.2. has this now fixed (might take a little time to show up in your dashbard as being available as an update though)
