Yes we are looking and testing other solutions… but at the moment we still prefer to go with wp-pizza instead of doing our site all over again.
If the next version supports a selectable max number of orders that can be taken each time slot we would love to continue with wp-pizza.
Would it be possible to (de)active taking orders when the shop is closed? Only exception to this would be the time to prepare the order. So if we open at 17h and the time to prepare is 15min an order should be able to be made at 16h45 with a selection of the first slot that starts at 17h.
If you would need some testing we would love to help.

I saw there is also a preorder extension.
Is there a possibility to make 2 changes in this:
1. Set preorder only for the current day (today only). So days in advance = 0 ?
2. This one is the most impotant: set a limit for how many times an inerval can be selected from the site. (Example 1 to 5). When this number is reached it should be greyed out not showing up anymore in the list.These adjustment would make it possible.
Now most people order between 17h an 19h. We can only handle 15 to 20 orders an hour… (now we get almost 40 online and about 30 order that are not placed on-line)
